Cooperation

There were some hard parts in our volunteer work, therefore we should work together to solve the difficult problems, like one invasive plant on a wood which was not so easy to find its root and grab it. So we find more coworkers and use different kinds of tools grabbing it. Finally, we got it!

There were so many plants in the forests, which were stingy, if for only one people, it seems impossible to be finished. Only with the power of group people, we can finish such amount of work. One thing I learn from this activity, is the significance or cooperation. I found some interests from the work and the satisfaction from helping the environment improvement.

Green

I do not have opportunities to get in touch with “green” things for long time. In spite of I see trees and plants on the road everyday, I felt a strong sense of happiness being in totally green. Nature is beautiful and amazing. It makes people relaxed. The up-state technology makes life more convenient. However, the natural things help people enjoy the most instinctive peaceful emotions. Human activities do harm to environment a lot, we have the responsibilities to improve the environment quality. At least, as a citizen of the earth, we are supposed start from little things to preserve the nature and do something to make ecosystem better. This kind of activity is  a good start, we can do as much as we can in daily life and raise the awareness of protecting environment. Admittedly, we spend too much time with technological products—phones, computers…From nature things, we also can get some interests, and even more stimulating.

Volunteer

In my hometown China, students especially in high school almost spend all their time in campus life, most for the homework and academic grades. We hardly have time in volunteer and other interesting activities. In American society, people focus more on how a person devotes to the social life not only just depend on how big success he has. It is a more active and better thought. Even the top students in class are supposed to have such a sense of responsibility. This point is also be underlined in the standard of some top universities in America. It is a typical  logic stereotype of American, which is very thoughtful. The requirements of American success is multiple, not just depending on money and smartness. Many Asian countries should study from this point in their education, if they want to be a strong country like America. This activity reminds me of the happiness of volunteer, giving is better than getting. We have already took a lot from natural resources, the human society; we are supposed to return back as much as we could. For instance, doing some activities helping homeless, disabled people, being a eco-friendly person in daily life. Just try to consider things from others, do more for others, also can be considered as volunteering. I hope I can have more opportunities to do more effective things helping others in the future.
