1. Click on the Advanced Search tab.

2. Try a keyword search on a term such as racism or discrimination.

3. Try a keyword search on a phrase like United States or Civil Rights Movement.

4. When you find a book you like, write down the call number of your book or video/DVD so you can find it on the shelves. The items are in order by Library of Congress Classification System which tells you the subject of each item.

5. Here is a map of the library.

  • The Circulating books (the ones you can check out and take home) are on the west side of the library. 
  • The videos and DVDs (to be use in the library) are to the left of the Circulating books, behind the Fiction Collection. 
  • The Reference books (the ones you use in the library) are on the east side of the library by the computers.
