Plagiarism may be a new and confusing idea for you as you begin studying here at Edmonds Community College.  This Guide is created to help you:

• understand what plagiarism is and why it is important for you to avoid doing it
• learn how and when to correctly cite sources in essays and research papers and avoid plagiarism
• get experience citing sources with practice activities and tutorials
• understand the College's policy on plagiarism
