Creative Commons allows you to search a variety of sites for images you can share in your Map. Choose Flickr, Google Images, or Fotopedia and type in your search term to find images with Creative Commons licenses. Don't forget to cite images just like your other sources!

Digital Public Library of America
The DPLA is a newly-launched portal linking to millions of images, videos, audio, and documents held by museums, libraries, and archives. Provides ways to search and scan, including by timeline, map, format, and topic.
American Memory Historical Collections
From the Library of Congress, this is an excellent place to find photographs, manuscripts, maps, video and more. Browse by topics, time period or type of artifact.
World Images
Database of 75,000 images from the California State University Image project.
