Print & eBooks in the library collection

Search a library database

Search for articles in magazines, newspapers or journals in the databases listed here.  Many articles are available full-text and can be printed, saved or emailed.

For help accessing the databases from off campus, click here.

Searching a database

Create a search strategy:  Combine the name of your disease with a word that addresses the sociological aspects of your disease.  For example:

covid AND race
obesity AND society

For articles only from Academic Journals

>  Check the box called Academic (Peer Reviewed) Journals

Other ways to focus your search:

>  Check the box that will limit your results to full-text articles only

>  Define a date range (for example: 2000 to 2011)

>  Use their "Suggested Topics" or "Find More Like This" feature
