Use the Historical New York Times database to see how the media reported on your topic at the time. We have access to 1851-2014 in this database (newer articles are in the ProQuest Research Library database). Search by keyword or on a specific date (remember to search for the day(s) after a specific event i.e. September 12, 2001 for stories about 9/11).
