Remember, do not use a source in your paper unless you trust it! Ask yourself these questions before you use a source:
- Author: who wrote the information? If it is a person, are they an expert? If it is an organization, what is their purpose?
- Sources: are there sources cited? Are they primary sources? Can you verify the information with additional sources?
- Purpose: why does this source exist? Are there ads or is it trying to sell something? Is it for educational purposes?
