Scholarships to Washington's Public Universities

Washington's public universities offer many scholarships for which transfer students may be eligible. Universities often have a general scholarship application through which students can apply for multiple scholarships, including many that are open to transfer students. If you plan to transfer to a public university, here are some opportunities to explore.

CWU General Scholarship Application
Apply for numerous Central Washington University scholarships via one application. Several scholarships are open to transferring students. The application is open October 1 and closes February 1 for incoming students.
CWU Merit Tuition Awards
Transfer students are eligible for these merit-based tuition awards at Central Washington University.
Students need to be admitted to CWU by February 1st, although those who apply after February 1st will be considered for awards as funds remain available.
EWU Financial Aid and Scholarships
Eastern Washington University scholarship portal includes scholarships for which transfer students are eligible.

The Evergreen State College Undergraduate Scholarships and Tuition Awards
Many scholarships available to new TESC students, including transfer students.

UW - Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium
For community college transfer students at the University of Washington studying science, technology, engineering, and math.
UW - Martin Achievement Scholarship
For community college transfer students to the University of Washington who show exceptional ability or achievement in science, humanities, music, and/or art.
UW - Martin Honors Scholarship
The Martin Family Foundation established the Martin Achievement Scholarship program to fund students who have demonstrated signs of exceptional ability in art, humanities, music, science, and/or leadership at one of the fifteen Washington State Community Colleges located around the Puget Sound region. Applicants are considered for superior strength of character, intellectual ability, a sense of purpose, and leadership and service to the community.
WSU Scholarships
Multiple scholarships to Washington State University accessible through a single application process. Many are available to transfer students.
Submission deadline is January 31.
WWU Transfer Scholarships
Several scholarships available, $500-$3,000, some may be renewed for multiple years.
